STAMPS AND FIRST DAY COVERS
During his career, Moss produced four postage stamps and more than a dozen first Day Covers. A First Day Cover is an illustration that is printed on an envelope bearing newly designed stamps for the U.S. Postal Service. In addition, the envelope is postmarked on the day of release of the stamp from the city that is most relevant to the subject. The subjects of most of Moss’s first day covers are historic buildings suiting his interest and ability to portray fine detail and dramatic points of view. These paintings were also produced as limited edition prints.
